MobiQ Handbook

Shaping mobility together

This handbook grew out of the work of the MobiQ Living Lab. In three very different neighbourhoods, we worked with residents, civic initiatives, municipalities and other partners to rethink mobility locally and to develop practical ways of changing it.

The process showed that mobility transition does not start only with new services or technical solutions. It also starts with understanding one’s own neighbourhood, sharing experiences, developing ideas together and taking responsibility for concrete change.

The handbook “Shaping mobility together – in 10 steps” invites readers to follow this path themselves. The chapters guide users through a possible process: from exploring the neighbourhood and developing ideas together to implementing, evaluating and continuing local mobility projects.

The chapters can be read in sequence or selected individually, depending on where you currently are in your own project. Chapter 11 adds the perspective of the municipality and shows how cities and local authorities can support such processes.
